Post 6: Postgraduate studies

I really don’t want to do a postgraduate study in my future, It’s not on my plans. But… I think that it’s interesting to do de exercise and try to imagine in which matter would choose to specialize my knowledge and think in my future as a journalist.

In the world we live the competition for a job everyday is increasing so have only the career is not enough and if you want a good job you need a postgraduate study. I think that the only thing that I could handle to study again is related to sport or cinematographic criticism.

In Chile, there are no universities that specialize in sport journalism, so if I would decide to do that, I would have to travel to Argentina and live there. I would like to study in Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), because I like the city and all the life that this have.

In the second case (cinematographic criticism), sometime ago a friend of mine told me that she were studying film screenplay in an academy here in Santiago. She told me that the name of this academy is “La Toma”. I google it, and found that this academy also have criticism and other subjects. I think that if someday I focus on criticism, I would choose that academy because I might be able to work and studied in Santiago.

I know that I started this blog saying that I don’t want to do a postgraduate studies, but writing about it made me want to do it. Not now, but maybe in the future.

Post 5: My future Job

I hate working, I really do. I daydream about a life without any job for me and that I could pass my time watching movies, series and playing videogames, but you need to live, pay bills, pay the rent and eat.

So, when I was thinking about what to study and what I want to do for the rest of my life I think that if I starting to studying journalism, I can get paid for watching movies, series and even soccer games and receive money in the process, enjoying my life and using time in things that I like and having a good time.

But sometimes you need to be realistic and see the big pictures. In the mass media, everybody, or almost all are insured in they jobs. Someone has to die to leave a space for the new generation, and in the critics area is the same. I like journalism a lot, so if I need to be realistic and think clearly, I think that I should start from below.

I like the writing journalism so I don’t mine to work in a medium, I would love to work in the international area, sports area or even business. I think that one of the most interesting things about working as a journalism is that you can see different things every day. So, even that I hate work, maybe it will not be so terrible. And then, when some old man dies, I can use his space and see series and movies for the rest of my life (until I die).

POST 4: DREAMS

I love sleeping and I try to do it whenever I can. But, paradoxically, I never dream. Once I read that people always dream and you only can´t remember in the morning when you woke up. I don’t know if that’s true but if it is, well… I never remember my dreams. Additionally, I used to have a dream catcher for a lot of time and I think that influenced my dream life.

I had also never had the same dream twice. My dream life is very boring. The most exiting dreams that I ever had were two.

In the first one my father (who passed away in 2003) appeared and he told me four numbers of the lottery. I woke up very exited but you need six numbers to win the money. About a month later I dreamed again with my dad and he told me the next two numbers that I need. I woke up the next morning and ran to buy a lottery ticket.

But… nothing happened haha. I played two more times but the last one I didn’t have a single number so I gave up. I think that my conscience in the form of my dad wants to win the lottery but I wasn’t that wrong. That year I receive a inheritance from a distant relative. It wasn’t the lottery or a lot of money, but it’s something

Post 3: Best movie scene

El secreto de sus ojos

The best movie scene that I can remember right now i one of the “El secreto de tus ojos”, an argentinean movie from 2009 directed by Juan José Campanella. The movie won an Oscar of Best International film.

I said right now in the first paragraph because I am changing my favorite movie and scene all the time.

Anyway, the scene was one in the Football Stadium of Huracán (the team that used that field to play when is local). The bad guy of the movie was a fan of Racing Club de Avellaneda, and Racing was playing against Huracán. The star of the film played by Ricardo Darín was trying to find the bad guy, and he knew that he was a fan of Racing.

Darín found the man and started the persecution in the stadium, with the people singing footballs songs in the background. Finally, the bad one jumped on to the yard in the middle of the match and the police took him.

I like this scene because I love football and all the things that are related to that sport. The scene showed to us a passion, the southamerican passion and how people vibrate for this game. The backgroundof the scene and the beginning is the best part.

The Best Concert in my life

My one and only

The first (and only) time that I went to a concert was with 3 friends of the university in 2013 and it was very very fun.

After a long journey we arrived to “Centro votivo de Maipú” to see a free concert of “Los Tres” and Fito Paez. There was a lot of people because, as I said, it was free but also because the people were celebrating the anniversary of the commune.

There wasn’t any regulation to enter the place, so we had some beers in our backpacks and all the people were drinking as well.

When Fito Paez came on to stage, all the people went crazy. He opens with “Giros”, one of his most famous songs and closed with “Mariposa tecnicolor”.

After the concert, all the people came out of the “Centro Votivo” to take a bus and the streets were a carnaval too. We took a bus to a friend’s and hang out there until late, having fun and singing the songs that we already knew, and searching in Youtube Karaoke the new ones that we had never heard before.

POST 1: A country i would like to visit

AUSTRALIA

I have a very good plan. If I have to choose a country to visit, I definitely choose Australia. Why? It’s very simple. Australia has a tipy of VISA thats calls "Working Holiday". If I can get that I will have the possibility to go there and work.

Why Australia and not Canada, Germany or Ireland that have the same VISA? I have a lot of friends from Valdivia (I lived there all my life there) and all of them are coming back from Australia. I didn´t have the chance to go with them because I was studying.

Australia sounds great, the weather is nice and you have the beach in almost all the cities, because in the middle of the country it’s all dessert. I want to go there, work and collect some money. Like all my friends, I need to go and work in constructions, because is the best way and the best pay job.

The next plans is go there in June 2017, work nine month, save some money and in July of 2018 go to the World Cup in Russia and then make a trip for the entire Asian Southeast. Living there is the best way to save some money and travel.
